Sounds promising. Future looks bright with so many Academy and other promising 18yo coming to the Club for the new season, hoping to impress.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
Massive I think Brown is predominantly a CB who can play left back. Supposed to be highly rated. Blimey, talking about 18 year olds getting in the squad and actually playing games!

Manuel, it’s a toss up between Scamacca & Mateo Retegui of Genoa.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
I was hoping we'd focus on 1 of Scarles or Johnson (if he remains?) for Emerson Left Back cover next season.

Do we think Luis Brown is coming in as the back up left back?

Re: The summer transfer window thread
Happy to hold my hands up ref Scamacca, I didn't think it was a bad thing getting rid based on his injury record and a perceived lack of pace and movement, looked like a bit of a lamppost to me, but think he's proved now he's a proper number 9 at the top level. Will he be starting for Italy in the Euro's?

Re: The summer transfer window thread
And his former manager was totally and completely wrong in labelling him lazy and for fucking him off and failed to get the best out of him.

Italian Football not the Premier League? Scamacca has done it all season long in the Europa League.

A monumental fuck up by the manager, also see letting Fornals, Kehrer and Benrahma go during the same seasons windows. Singlehandedly destroyed his own decent Squad.

Re: The summer transfer window thread
But obviously that manager plays in a way that even when lazy he’s still a key player for them….

Serial A - 11 Goals 6 Assists

Europa League - 6 Goals

Italian Cup - 1 Goal 1 Assist

18 Goals 7 Assists in all competitions

Helped get Atalanta to Italian Cup Final (injured couldn't play in Final)

Helped Atalanta get to the Europa League Final beating Liverpool to get there (Helped some other Club win the Europa Conference last season)

Helped Atalanta get to 5th in the League, just 1 point behind both Juventus and Bologna with Champions League a real possibility.

All in his debut season for them.

Anyone heard of him?

West Ham interested in signing Oumar Solet from RB Salzburg

According to Foot Mercato, West Ham United are interested in signing Oumar Solet (24) from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window. The former Lyon centre-back is set to leave the Austrian Bundesliga in the summer in search of a new challenge elsewhere in Europe.

Solet was almost on the move in the January transfer window. Napoli showed a strong interest in the former France youth international but were unable to complete a move for the Salzburg defender. Lens also showed interest in Solet late in the winter transfer window but a move for the Lyon academy graduate was financially unattainable.
Several clubs interested

West Ham are one of several clubs interested in the 24-year-old defender ahead of the summer transfer window. Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and Roma are also showing an interest in Solet, Foot Mercato report. With such interest in his services, the Frenchman is set to be spoilt for choice when deciding where to take the next step in his career.

West Ham and Wolves Among Additional Doughty Admirers
Premier League rivals aiming to take advantage of expected relegation

GMS sources have been informed that Doughty is attracting interest from a string of Premier League clubs looking to take advantage of Luton's almost-certain relegation to the Championship, resulting in Palace expecting a fight for his signature if they choose to make a move in the coming weeks.

It is understood that West Ham United, who are preparing to enter a new era under incoming chief Julen Lopetegui, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also mulling over whether to hand the London-born former Stoke City man an opportunity to embark on a fresh challenge in the top flight.

But Palace are continuing to monitor Doughty, who was described as 'fantastic' by Luton teammate Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, and are refusing to rule out the possibility of welcoming him to Selhurst Park as Glasner looks to make his mark.

Luis Brown confirms Arsenal departure with defender set to join West Ham

Defender Luis Brown has confirmed that he will be leaving Arsenal when his scholarship contract expires at the end of next month.

The 18-year-old, who progressed all the way through the ranks at the club’s Hale End academy, wasn’t offered a professional contract by the Gunners.

Brown has been training with West Ham United and is now expected to sign for the Hammers.

During his time at Arsenal Brown, who can play at left-back or centre-back, made 31 appearances for the U18s, scoring three goals. He often captained the team last season.

Brown also made his Premier League 2 debut as a substitute against Southampton and was named on the bench in the UEFA Youth League.

West Ham join Brighton in race for Bundesliga talent – Competition growing for cheap summer option

By Lucas Sposito

West Ham United seem to have joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the hunt for Hertha Berlin youngster Ibrahim Maza.

It’s German newspaper Bild who feature a story claiming the Bundesliga side should soon have to deal with the big interest that some of their players have been drawing.

Hertha Berlin will have to make some sales to balance their finances this summer, and despite their wish to hold their big talents, some sales may be inevitable.

Maza is one of those players, with Bild claiming that the likes of West Ham, Brighton, Brentford and Leicester City have been interested in him, having recently watched him in Germany. Other Bundesliga clubs such as Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg are said to be keen as well.

The outlet claims the midfielder has a market value of €1.5m, although it seems like this big race can surely give Hertha Berlin a chance to make a bigger sale.

Back in March, the very same Bild had already reported Brighton’s interest in Maza, claiming the 17-year-old was in the Seagulls’ list. Now they’ll have to face a much bigger competition against West Ham and others.

He didnt work out and we are getting our money back

I'd hope for around £15m for Benrahma given he is doing well at Lyon and if Loppy doesnt want Cornet I'd still hope for £10m
All goes in the pot for players we DO want

We’re selling players based on old valuations when they were frozen out by a departing manager. It’s the new way of being sold down the river and very poor business.
